Student Education Impact - Johns Hopkins School of Nursing

Student Education Impact of the Building

Student ImpactWith fierce competition among top-ranked schools of nursing looking for the best, brightest, and most diverse minds in the world, it is imperative that we offer a student experience that is nothing short of extraordinary and reflects the richness of learning opportunities and resources available in the Johns Hopkins community.

One of the goals for the new space is to reinforce and strengthen the student-centric aspect at our school. For many of our students, our building is “home,” given a rigorous and accelerated course of graduate study that requires them to spend significant time onsite.

Specifically, the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing building expansion will provide a network of open and flexible spaces to accommodate various styles of teaching and learning and increase the variety of spaces for discussion, study, events, meetings, presentations, and research, as well as socializing and relaxation. The spaces will be equipped with cutting-edge technology and will inspire collaboration, encourage interactive learning, and most of all, provide a supportive environment.

In addition, the new space will put students in closer proximity to faculty by breaking down silos and altering the distribution of student, classroom, and faculty spaces to increase interaction. The investment in the building expansion will touch every student at the School of Nursing.
